Morphe X Xierra: Making a beautiful wish come true

Morphe X Xierra: Making a beautiful wish come true

Morphe X Xierra: Making a beautiful wish come true

3 Min.

Morphe was honored to make Xierra Williams’ wish of creating her own Morphe palette come true through Make-a-Wish Foundation of America. Working alongside Xierra was an absolute joy and we were left endlessly inspired by her creativity, intelligence, strength, authenticity, and kindness. Entirely guided by Xierra’s own unique story, personal passions, and radiant personality, the creative journey led to places we couldn’t ever have expected with a result that was more than any of us could wished for!

We sat down with Xierra to learn about her perspective on the inspiring creative journey.

Why was it your wish to create your very own Morphe palette?

My wish was to make my own palette with Morphe because, while undergoing treatment, I was experiencing so many physical changes. Not knowing how to express myself, I was led to the re-exploration of makeup. Doing my makeup allowed me to create a space for myself where I could create my own world. Creating a palette with Morphe served as a means to pay tribute to that version of myself.

Can you walk us through the creative process with Morphe?

First, we collaborated on a few mood boards based on my interests in music, art, and culture. Deciding on a jazz club theme, I was introduced to the amazing people at Morphe, who walked me through the steps of constructing the palette. After finalizing the shades, we discussed palette shape, design, and tracing paper. The process itself was such a wonderful opportunity, and I was given the creative freedom to tell my story.

What was your favorite part of the whole experience?

I would have to say my favorite part of this whole experience was the love I felt. Meeting and working with the wonderful team of people who were truly passionate about this project and showed genuine care for me allowed what I envisioned in my head to become a tangible palette. It is still mind-blowing to me! I love how heard I felt throughout this journey and how that translated into the final result. Seeing the finished palette was a peak moment for me.

Was there anything that surprised you about the process?

This trip was full of surprises, but there were two that really stuck out. Ultimately, I was surprised and am forever grateful to have met one of my favorite makeup influencers, Mei Pang. I got the opportunity to pick her brain about her creative ideas and how she carries them out. She is truly inspiring. Lastly, I was surprised to see how many moving parts go into the creation of a palette. From the trial and error of color placement to all the behind-the-scenes of a photo op. It was such a cool and inspiring world to be immersed in.

How do you feel about the final result?

I’m IN LOVE with it! It is everything I could have imagined and more. I am thankful and appreciative of the space I was given to create something so authentic to me and my story. I learned so much about the beauty industry throughout this process. It was all very inspiring, and I hope to blaze a path in it someday!

But packing your festival beauty look bag can be overwhelming, no?

Not with Morphe – because we’ve been there. We’ve done the days of camping in the dirt. We’ve done the selfies in front of every neon installation within a 50-mile radius. We’ve had face gems stuck to our cheeks for weeks. We know how to pack for festival season – and we know how to pack light.

want.

Your Festival Vibe: The Selfie Scammer

How To Get The Snow Angel Look

How To Get The Snow Angel Look

How To Get The Snow Angel Look

  • Artistry 101
  • Get The Look
2 min

Ethereal, sparkling perfection. The icy holiday look you’ll want to live in.

That first snowfall – it absolutely glitters, doesn’t it? The iridescent way each snowflake falls from the wintry sky, landing in drifts and hills that sparkle better than any lip gloss you’ve ever tried. Morphe gets it – sometimes you want to look like an ethereal snow angel around the holidays. And you know what? You absolutely can. Whether you are looking for an airy and celestial holiday makeup look for the office Christmas party or just want to look like the dazzling top to the tree, we’ll get you gleaming like the most perfect snow angel in just a few steps.

FACE

Apply your base as usual – we
recommend Morphe Filter Effect Concealer
and Foundation
because it delivers a nourishing radiance and that enviable lit-from-within
glow. It’s also long-wearing in case you decide to scamper through some snow
drifts.

EYES + BROWS

Using the holiday limited edition
palette Morphe
35TE Tease The Season Eyeshadow Palette
,
cover the lid with shade No Regifts. Then let’s build up
some sparkle by applying the silver shade Nice List up into the brow arch and
the inner corners of the eye. Then finish the holiday eyeshadow look off with
the Morphe
Make It Big Volumizing Mascara.

CHEEKS

Instead of blush for this holiday makeup look, we
are going all in on sparkle. Take the shade Nice List again and drape it
lightly across your cheekbones like you would a highlighter. The silver should
blend into your eyes and really catch the light when you move.

 LIPS

Choose a gloss that’s high gloss
and high glam, like the Morphe
x Meredith Duxbury Eye, Face & Lip Gloss
. Apply all
over your lips. Then find out BFF shade Nice List again (can’t have too much
silver when it comes to the Snow Angel look) and blend it nicely out from the
center of your bottom lip. Make sure to set your look with the Morphe
Continuous Setting Mist
so it stays snowfall after
snowfall.

Is that a literal angel? Basically
– it’s you.

Don’t forget to tag us in your holiday makeup looks.

How To Get The Sugar Plum Look

How To Get The Sugar Plum Look

How To Get The Sugar Plum Look

  • Artistry 101
  • Get The Look
2 min

It’s balletcore, but Morphe make it holiday.

Attending the ballet during the holiday season is such a vibe – tutus and orchestral drama and everyone decked out in their seasonal best. In the famed ballet The Nutcracker, the Sugar Plum Fairy is a showstopper not just for her pirouettes but because of her sugar cookie, snow dusted aesthetic. You don’t have to don toe shoes or prance around your holiday events on pointe to evoke the glamour and beauty of The Sugar Plum Fairy. Recreate this icy watercolor holiday makeup look and you’ll get all the second glances without having to apply to dance school

FACE

Apply your base as normal – we recommend Morphe Filter Effect Concealer and Foundation because it delivers a radiance and lit-up look that will pair perfectly with this frosted eye makeup look.

EYES

To create this dreamy, pastel watercolor eye look, first grab the holiday limited edition palette Morphe 35TE Tease The Season Eyeshadow Palette. Using fresh brushes for each shade, stipple or press each of the following shades, starting with the deepest and working to lightest, into the eyelid to create a wash of color:

  • Nice List
  • No Regifts
  • Special Delivery
  • Got Receipts
  • What I Want
  • Festive Rush
  • Privacy Please
  • Stocking Stunner
  • Total Surprise

Then recreate the same effect with a few of your favorite above shades with an eyeliner brush on the lower lash line. It’s okay if it isn’t perfect – this holiday makeup look should be almost cloud-like. Then finish the holiday eyeshadow look off with the Morphe Make It Big Volumizing Mascara.

LIPS

Apply Soulmatte Velvet Lip Mousse in the pink nude shade Dearest for a fluffy, blurred velvet lip look. Then for a glass lip effect worthy of an ice skating rink, dab on the Morphe x Meredith Duxbury Eye, Face & Lip Gloss. Make sure to set your look with the Morphe Continuous Setting Mist.

Now plié away, the ballet awaits.

How to Incorporate Color Theory Into Your Makeup Routine

How to Incorporate Color Theory Into Your Makeup Routine

How to Incorporate Color Theory Into Your Makeup Routine

Morphe believes that beauty is so much more than applying makeup to your face – it’s artistry, and you’re the artist. Simply by choosing a new shade, texture, or finish, you can create a whole new makeup look or version of yourself. Play up your eyes with something bold, or give your lips main character energy with a slick of shine. You have so much power over the way you express yourself, and by understanding color theory, you can seriously level up your understanding of your own artistry.

By understanding how colors interact and complement each other, you can strategically use different colors in your makeup to draw attention to different assets, create depth and dimension, and make your eyes, lips, and complexion pop. Whether you’re a minimalist or love a bold, colorful beat, mastering color theory can bring you closer to MUA-level expertise. Let’s dive into how to apply these color concepts to create any look you want.

Understanding The Use of Color Theory in Makeup

Let’s take it back to high school art class. What exactly is color theory? Color theory is the knowledge of how different hues interact and can be used together to create the effects you want. In the world of makeup, understanding color theory can be used to play up certain parts of your look. At the most basic level, the primary colors in painting and color theory are red, blue, and yellow. When combined, these three colors create the full-color spectrum that makes up the classic color wheel.

Knowing where different colors fall on the wheel and how they relate to one another as complementary, analogous, or contrasting shades allows you to strategically pair and layer beauty products to play up your features. You might choose a blue-red lipstick to make your teeth look whiter or a gold-toned highlighter to brighten the high points of your face.

Mastering the color wheel and the relationships between shades is a surefire way to elevate your makeup from basic to beyond.

Using Color Theory for Foundation & Concealer

Want to use color theory to find the right foundation and concealer shades for your skin tone? By understanding your shadeplace on the color wheel, from warm, cool, or neutral undertones, you can find foundation and concealers that seamlessly blend into your skin for a flawless finish.

Cool-toned complexions look best in foundations with blue or pink undertones, while warm skin benefits from yellow or golden-based shades. Neutral skin can pull off either warm or cool tones. You can also use color theory to neutralize or correct redness or dark circles. Green color correctors help neutralize redness, while peach-toned correctors help with dark under-eye circles.

Morphe created this Shade Finder Quiz to help you find your perfect shade.

Applying Color Theory to Eye Makeup

Applying color theory to your eyeshadow game can alter and enhance your eye color – while being so fun to play around with. Here is a rundown of what shades you should try out based on your eye color.

Blue eyes: Choose soft, neutral tones like champagne, taupe, and silver to bring out your icy blue hue, or deeper shades such as copper, bronze, and brown to bring out more contrast. Choose the Morphe 35MI Magic Mirror Artistry Palette and the Rich & Foiled Artistry Palette- Going Platinum.

Green eyes: Pick earthy tones like warm golds, deep oranges, and olive green to bring out the mossy green of your eyes and bring warmth to your eyeshadow look. For a pop of contrast, go for purples and plums so appear brighter. Go for the Morphe 18WT Matte Essential Artistry Palette or the 35XO Natural Flirt Artistry Palette.

Brown eyes: Oopt for earthy tones like warm caramels, deep greens, and golden hues to bring out subtle flecks in your eyes, or a smokey look in deep shades to make the brown look darker. Choose Morphe’s Rich & Foiled Artistry Palette - Gold Seeker or the Matte Essentials Artistry Palette.

Hazel eyes: Ggo for shades of rich browns, deep greens, and shimmering golds, or browns and warm gold eyeshadows to play around with the bevy of shades in hazel eyes, as found in the 35U Gilded Desert Artistry Palette and the Nude Ambition Eyeshadow Palette,

Choosing Eyebrow Shades Based on Color Theory

You might think that color theory doesn’t apply in your brow game, but similarly, as to your foundation, it can be utilized here.

Using the color wheel as a guide, you'll want to choose a brow product that complements your natural hair color. For example, those with cool-toned black or dark brown hair may find that a taupe or ash-based brown brow product is most flattering, as it avoids creating too harsh of a contrast.

Warm redheads, on the other hand, will want to lean into reddish-brown or auburn brow shades to harmonize with their ginger tones. Blondes or those with lighter hair should opt for soft browns with golden undertones.

How to Use Color Theory in Lip Makeup

The undertones in a lip product can really bring out and complement your skin’s undertones, eyes, and hair color. We believe anyone can rock any lip shade, but give the color theory method a try.

Cool-toned complexions: Try blue-based reds, plums, and deeper berries. We love Morphe’s Soulmatte Velvet Lip Mousse in Compatible and First Kiss.

Warm-toned complexions: Choose orange-red, coral, or terracotta shades. We love Morphe’s Soulmatte Velvet Lip Mousse in Wifey and Dripglass Glazed Lip Gloss in Raspberry Reflection.

Neutral-toned complexions: can pull off all of the above, so go ahead and try them all.

Blush with Color Theory

Similar to lips, we believe every blush shade can look epic on anyone. But if you want to see how utilizing color theory plays up your features, here is what can really make your cheeks pop.

Cool-toned complexions: Look for shades that skew fuschia, pink, or berry, like Morphe’s Hot Shot Blush Drops in That Girl or Huephoric Rush 3-in-1 Silk Blush in Energized.

Warm-toned complexions: Peach or cCoral- hued-shades really bring out warm-toned skin tones, like Hot Shot Blush Drops in Power Drip and Huephoric Rush 3-in-1 Silk Blush in Addicted.

Neutral-toned complexions: Mauve tones are gorgeous on neutral-toned complexions, like Hot Shot Blush Drop in Flex Symbol and Huephoric Rush 3-in-1 Silk Blush in Hypnotized.

Mastering Color Theory for Your Makeup Game

Okay, you little artist you – now that you know about all things color theory, go ahead and put it to the test. From finding your perfect foundation shade to switching up your blush and lip looks, have fun using the color wheel to bring all your beauty vibes to life.

Show us all your color theory makeup looks by tagging us #morphe and #morphebrushes on IG or TikTok.

How to Incorporate Glitter Into Your Holiday Glam

How to Incorporate Glitter Into Your Holiday Glam

How to Incorporate Glitter Into Your Holiday Glam

7 min.

For many of us, the most exciting element of the holiday season is getting to add glitter to every beauty look. From straight-up going to the office to parties and more, you never need an excuse to look like an absolute holiday disco ball. It’s the holidays!

Because we’re Morphe, and everything we do is a little extra, we want to infuse your holiday season with as much glitter and glam as possible. What’s a holiday makeup look if it doesn’t shine as bright as a handful of tinsel?

Let us deck you out in glitter with these absolute holiday makeup look must-haves that are all about the shimmer and shine.

Essential Makeup Products for a Sparkly Holiday Glam

When it comes to glitter makeup products, it’s key to go for quality. We love a craft store moment as much as anyone, but not when you’re sweeping it over your eye. Morphe creates fun, expressive makeup products that are also of impeccable quality. So you can go all out with the glitter without worrying about irritation.

Glittery Eye Makeup

There are all kinds of glittery eye makeup, and half the fun is playing with it all. While you’re planning out your holiday makeup looks, try exploring not only different shades of shimmer but also formula and finish. The Morphe Mixed Signals Dual-Ended Cream & Liquid Shadow Stick has a creamy highly-pigmented shadow on one side and chrome liquid shadow flakes on the other, so you can dial it up or really up.

If you love an eyeshadow palette but are looking for versatility and glitter, the Rich & Foiled Artistry Palettes are beyond stunning. Choose from three metallic themes and enjoy shimmer, mattes, and a Molten Metal eyeshadow in the middle of each. There isare truly a wealth of holiday look possibilities.

Glowing Highlighters

Glitter and highlighter go together like tinsel and a tree – it’s all about finding shades that complement each other to create a cohesive look. Morphe’s Holiday Collection is called “Holiday Drama” because that’s what you’ll be bringing.

Try the new Overreaction Holographic Liquid Highlighter that transforms on the skin from white to a sheer wash of color. This multidimensional liquid shine glides on and puts you under the spotlight.

Festive Lipsticks & Lipgloss

You can’t have a glitter holiday makeup look without a lip gloss to go with it. Whether you want to keep the focus on your shimmery eyes or go bold on every one of your assets, a gloss can act as both the main character and the final touch.

Keep the glitter going with Aurascape Dripglass Glazed Lip Gloss. Many shades offer a subtle dose of shimmer that will catch every light. Wear on its own, pair it with a neutral lip liner like the viral favorite Makeup Talk, or add a dollop to the center of your bottom lip on top of your favorite shade of Soulmatte Velvet Lip Mousse.

How to Create Glittery Holiday Makeup Looks

Want some glittery holiday makeup inspo? Try this look out and let us know what you think.

Step 1: Prep Your Skin for Makeup Application

Make sure that holiday look is going nowhere no matter where you take it. Prime and prep the face with either our best-selling Continuous Setting Mist or pair the Equalizer Foundation Primer with our Eyelid Primer so every speck of glitter stays put.

Step 2: Apply Eye Makeup

Depending on the kind of glitter makeup you are playing with today, you may have to battle a little fallout (mostly if this is a powder product). To ensure a clean look when you’re done, start with your eye makeup rather than your base.

A traditional shimmer eye look involves first sweeping a neutral shade base over your eyelid, then a slightly deeper shade in the crease. With your finger or a packing brush, press the glitter or shimmer shade in the center of the lid. You could also keep the lid cleann, and line the bottom lash line with a sweep of glitter from Mixed Signals. We also love a hint of glitter in the inner corners of each eye. Don’t forget to finish your eye look off with a swipe or several of Make It Big Volumizing Mascara.

Step 3: Apply Face Makeup

Now create your everyday base. A glowy, hydrating foundation, concealer, maybe a little contour as well. Then sweep on a blush for a wintry pop of color – Huephoric Rush is available in six shades and delivers a hydrated, silk finish. Add some warmth back into your complexion with a few dots of Hot Shot Sun Drops, sweeping on wherever the sun would hit. Finish your base off with a tap or two of Overreaction Holographic Liquid Highlighter on the cheekbones, Cupid’s bow, and the tip of the nose.

Step 4: Apply Preferred Lip Products

When a glitter eye is the star of the show, we love a neutral yet glittery lip to go with it. Slightly overline your lips with a lip liner of your choice, smudging the edges slightly to get a blurred effect. Then top it off with Aurascape Dripglass Glazed Lip Gloss in shades Stargaze, Beige Beam, or Raspberry Reflection for a hit of color.

Step 5: Apply Setting Powder & Spray

Now set it all in place with one of Morphe’s best-selling setting sprays. From the original

Continuous Setting Mist to the skincare-packed Continuous Prep & Set Mist, just make sure you’re setting with something.

Creative Holiday Makeup Ideas

A Classic Holiday Makeup Look

Take the classic holiday red lip and kick it up a notch. Line your lips with Lip Liner in Foolish, then Soulmatte Velvet Lip Mousse in shade First Kiss. Top it off with Dripglass Lip Gloss in Raspberry Reflection.

Modern Takes on Holiday Makeup

You also don’t have to stick to traditional holiday shades and looks to celebrate all things glitter. Go futuristic with a full-on silver glitter eye makeup look. The limited edition Morphe Shade Thrower Eyeshadow Palette offers toasted and frosted shades so you can create a silver monochromatic look or so many more unexpected color combinations.

You can also have fun with glitter placement. You can even top off your highlighter with a few flakes, or mix it into a clear brow wax and brush through your eyebrows.

Expert MUA Tips for Wearing Glitter Confidently

The secret to rocking a glitter holiday makeup look is this – you look amazing. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beauty newbie or a professional makeup artist, if it’s glitter then it looks good. Everyone loves a glitter look at a party, and compliments are on their way. It’s all about knowing that and standing in your truth and confidence.

Achieve A Festive Holiday Glitter Look with Morphe Makeup

An all-glitter holiday season? We love that for you. From a full glitter eye to a shimmery lip or base, celebrating this time of year is all about expression, love, and joy. Let Morphe make the most of your holiday season. And don’t forget to stock up on our limited-edition Holiday Drama Collection to gift yourself or the most dramatic ones in your life.

How To Make Your Festival Makeup Last

How To Make Your Festival Makeup Last

3 min

Music festival season is a whirlwind of dancing, your favorite bands, pool parties, and too many selfies to count. But amidst the fun, sun, sweat, and possible mosh pits, your festival makeup can soon be seen streaking or melting down your face.

You don’t have to look like a festival mess, of course, if you’re prepped and ready with the right products. You can stay living your festival goddess lifestyle while your look stays intact. We’ll show you how to create an eye-catching look that doesn’t budge, so you can focus on the vibes.

Power Up

Choose long-wearing, sweat-proof, and waterproof festival makeup formulations to ensure your look stays vibrant throughout the day. Here are our faves.

Lightform Extended Hydration Foundation is not only weightless and long-wearing, but it delivers a lit-from-within glow perfect for festival makeup looks.

Filter Effect Soft Radiance Concealer brightens and conceals, even after the latest of nights. Enjoy its medium coverage and ability to hide the darkest of dark circles.

Aurascape 35Y Artistry Palette was basically created for festival season, with its
35 dialed-up pastels, shimmers, and reflective finishes. You have endless options for iconic festival eye makeup looks.

Make It Big Brush-Tip Liquid Liner not only boasts 16 hours of wear, which will get you through every party you RSVPed to but is water-resistant and smudge-proof.

Morphe 2 Perk Up Cheek & Lip Color deliver a sheer wash of color for your cheeks and lips, so even if you do need a touch-up, this little wonder is portable, packable, and a breeze to pop on.

Setting the Stage

Once you've applied your festival makeup, it's crucial to set it properly for maximum longevity:

Loose Setting Powder: Apply a light dusting of Morphe Bake & Set Soft Focus Setting Powder to your entire face, focusing on areas prone to shine like the T-zone. This helps absorb excess oil and keeps your makeup in place.

Setting Spray: Finish your look with a generous mist of setting spray. As you know, Morphe is known for this – choose from our original Continuous Setting Mist, our Continuous Prep & Set Mist+, our Mattifying Setting Spray, Luminous Setting Spray, our SPF Sunsetter Spray to protect your skin from the harsh festival season sun.

Music festival season is a whirlwind of dancing, your favorite bands, pool parties, and too many selfies to count.

How To Prep & Set Your Makeup All Summer

How To Prep & Set Your Makeup All Summer

How To Prep & Set Your Makeup All Summer

  • Now Trending
4 min.

It’s hot, now what? Wearing a full beat can be challenging during the sweltering summer months, with sky-high temps and that dreaded humidity. You’ve got stuff to do – beach days, rooftop nights – and you wanna look good doing all of it. So how can you keep your look on all season? We’ve got you.

Prioritizing Morphe products specifically designed for long-wear, primers, and setting sprays, along with setting powders and targeted makeup applicators, you’ll be set for summer.

Step 1: Prep Your Skin For Makeup Application

Prepping your skin before applying makeup is a crucial step in achieving a long-lasting look from June to August and beyond. To start, make sure your skin is clean and well-hydrated by washing your face with a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, and residue. Follow up with a hydrating moisturizer and SPF to help protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays.

We all know solid skincare contributes to your makeup adhering to your skin and achieving a smooth canvas. It can also help your look stay on – for example, unexfoliated skin can make it harder to get that fool-proof overall look.

Step 2: Apply Makeup Primer

What primer should you apply before makeup to avoid sweating? Of course that depends on the specific weather and your lifestyle, but using a makeup primer has lots of benefits, all of which are even more important during the summer. It evens out your skin tone, helps cover imperfections, and preps your face for a more consistent makeup application. Use a mattifying primer like the Equalizer Foundation Primer to control shine and keep your makeup in place throughout the day. Opt for the Pore Perfecting Blur Stick to target specific areas of the face where you regularly see shine.

If you’ll be applying eyeshadow, don’t forget to use an eyelid primer and spritz your eyeshadow makeup brushes with the Morphe Continuous Prep & Set Mist+ before dipping into the pan to add extra grip. To seal the deal, try out a lash primer if your favorite mascara isn’t waterproof to ensure that your look stays picture-perfect all day long.

You may wonder if matte or dewy makeup is better for summertime – and to that we say dewy is likely the most wearable during the hotter months. Because of possible humidity, leaning into the dew with products can result in a more intentional glow. Matte is still achievable, sure – but a radiant, dewy glow is often the way to go in the summer.

Step 3: Set Your Makeup For All-Day Wear

After applying your makeup, a setting spray helps your makeup stay put despite the heat and humidity. Does setting spray stop makeup from sweating off? That right formula certainly helps it stay put. Morphe’s Continuous Prep & Set Mist+ is a fan favorite that features ceramides known to hydrate and strengthen the skin’s barrier, electrolytes that enhance moisture for a healthy glow and antioxidants known for boosting elasticity.

To mattify and set with a powder, focus on key areas like your T-zone and under-eyes to ensure lasting coverage, or spray on between each makeup step. Opt for a setting powder like the Mini Bake & Set Soft Focus Setting Powder to mattify oily areas and further set your makeup in place. A travel-friendly setting powder in your bag allows quick touch-ups throughout the day.

Step 4: Touch Up Your Makeup Throughout The Day

How to make makeup last all day in hot weather? To maintain your going-nowhere summer makeup look, be prepared to touch up periodically. Keep a translucent powder in your bag for quick touch-ups on the go. Powder puffs effectively remove excess oil without disturbing your makeup. Pro tip: pre-powder a beauty sponge before you go out and toss it into a plastic bag. This is a genius hack if you don’t feel like hauling around your whole makeup bag.

Focus on areas that tend to get shiny throughout the day, and remember not to overdo it to avoid a total caked-out look. A portable, versatile puff set like the Cloud Cushion Mini Puff Trio will guarantee you stay looking snatched.

Achieve A Flawless Makeup Look All Summer Long With Morphe

Mastering the art of getting your summer makeup to stay means a strategic game plan and minimal touch-ups with the proper products. Prep your skin, prime your look, and set to forget while you hit the pool. Remember to choose lightweight and long-wearing makeup formulas, focus on controlling shine in key areas, and opt for oil-absorbing makeup powder puffs, setting powder, or setting sprays when you’re bopping around.

Morphe offers a wide range of high-quality makeup products that are perfect for summer, from lightweight foundations to cult fave setting sprays. With the right products, tools, and techniques, you can keep your makeup prepped and set for whatever the summer brings your way.

Often in beauty trends, they tend to swing from one extreme to the next. Case in point? All the girlies were obsessed with clean girl beauty all summer – slicked-back buns, lip gloss, and glowy skin. Now? You can’t open TikTok without being inundated with the Italian-American Mob Wife Aesthetic. And we are HERE. FOR. IT.

Taking cues from the bold, attitude-laden beauty queens of The Sopranos and My Cousin Vinny, this look is all about excess. Picture mascara for days, smoky eyes that could stop traffic, pouty neutral lips, and everything turned up to eleven. The Mob Wife Aesthetic brings to mind a woman draped in gold jewelry, decked out in leopard print, French tips, and an attitude that only Italian-American New Jersey culture could conjure up.

So, you want to dive headfirst into the world of mob wife makeup? Well, guess what? Morphe has got your back. Sorry, cigarettes not included.

Create the Mob Wife Complexion

Sure, the Mafia might just be the stuff of movies (wink wink), but that matte complexion favored by mob wives is very much a reality. Start your transformation with The Morphe Filter Effect Soft Radiance Foundation. Grab a foundation brush and apply it all over for that flawless base. Using a brush instead of your fingertips gives you a more medium coverage, perfect for building up that mob wife vibe.

Next up, reach for the Filter Effect Soft Radiance Concealer to cover any imperfections or brighten up those under-eyes. You’re laying the groundwork for some serious glam here.

Want to try out the mob wife makeup look for yourself? Morphe has more than got you. Cigarettes not included.

Pout Your Way to Power

While the focus of the mob wife makeup look might be on the eyes, that doesn’t mean your lips should be an afterthought. Opt for a neutral velvet finish with the Soulmatte Velvet Lip Mousse and matching gel liners. Our top pick? The shade Wifey, of course. Overline those lips a little bit, fill them in, and you’re almost finito.

Set It & Forgettabout it.

You’ve got a long day of counting your jewelry and keeping the house in check ahead of you, so you’ll want to make sure your mob wife makeup stays put. Enter the Morphe Continuous Setting Mist. This classic setting spray has never let a mob wife down, and it’s not about to start now.

We’ve already established that the blush game is changing – it’s no longer a straight-up complexion product a la your foundation or concealer. Morphe is all about blending the rules and that’s why blush is now firmly set in the category of color. Feel free to play with a variety of pops of pigments, shimmers and mattes, and textures. From liquid blush to cream blush and beyond, there are so many ways to have fun with a flush.

We also love a dewy, buildable glow – have you been working out? Hot Girl Walk vibes? Maybe you’ve been kissing someone? (Side eye emoji.) This exact era of adventure and mystery is why we created the Morphe Hot Shot Blush Drops, in tandem with the Hot Shot Sun Drops if you want to also add some sun-kissed warmth to your face.

Blush drops are the latest innovation in blushes, and beauty newbies and MUAs love this formula. It’s not only extremely customizable, but offers a wide range of looks you can achieve, vibe you can create, and ways to flush and blush all through summer and beyond.

Let’s get into it – here’s how to apply blush drops.

What Makes Blush Drops Unique?

The Hot Shot Blush Drops are absolute perfection for an all-over flush and if you want to try out some fresh new shades.

Made with a waterweight, skincare-packed formula, your skin will experience our hydrating Advanced Moisture Complex, niacinamide, and natural algae to also boost hydration and help improve skin texture.

A formula for your skin, shades for the soul – which is exactly why you can choose from an apricot, a cool pink, a rosy beige, fuchsia, or watermelon red. Wear them on their own or layer them up – they play well with others or over your go-to complexion products.

How Do I Apply Blush Drops?

There are a variety of techniques to bring the beauty of blush drops to the surface of your skin. Try your hand at any of these looks we are loving.

Build-A Blush

Step 1: Start by depositing a drop of the Hot Shot Blush Drops onto the back of your hand – a little goes a long way.

Step 2: Using the Morphe M201 Cream & Liquid Blush Brush, pick up some blush and buff into your cheeks, hairline, and nose.

Step 3: Want to step it up? Layer a powder blush over top of the blush drops as your last step before setting spray.

Blush drops are the latest innovation in blushes, and beauty newbies and MUAs love this formula.

How To Finish a Blush Drop Makeup Look

Because the Morphe Hot Shot Blush Drops are so versatile, you can pair any of the shades with a variety of makeup looks. Create a watercolor wash across your whole face with shades from one of our brighter eyeshadow palettes or play up the glow factor with a high-shine lip gloss like Dripglass.

Just make sure to set your look using our best-selling, cult icon Continuous Setting Mist. That should be your final step no matter the look.
